Mulligan Mayhem: Emergency Moves After Aberg's Withdrawal
The unpredictable nature of golf has struck again! Two league members, Bert and Mike, found themselves in a tough spot when their selection, Ludvig Aberg, withdrew before the start of Round 2. Aberg, who was already battling illness last week, struggled in Round 1 with a 77 before ultimately deciding to withdraw from the tournament.
Thankfully, both Bert and Mike were able to take advantage of the Emergency Withdraw Mulligan Rule, which allows players to replace a golfer if they withdraw before the start of Round 2. Acting quickly, Bert pivoted to Rasmus Hojgaard, while Mike shifted to Sam Burns.
This is a textbook example of why understanding and utilizing the league’s rules can be a game-changer. With their new selections locked in, both Bert and Mike hope their fresh picks can turn things around for the remainder of the tournament.
Stay tuned to see how these late adjustments play out!
